Built from Scratch in Beaufort

Every morning at Herban Market and Cafe begins the same way: our bakers arrive early to fill the kitchen with the smell of fresh bread and pastries. It's how we've always done things, and it's how we always will. We use only unbleached, non-bromated organic flour in everything we bake. No shortcuts, no substitutes. Every loaf, every croissant, every roll is made right here in our market, then served in our cafe alongside scratch-made breakfast and lunch. We believe food should be simple and honest. Real ingredients prepared by real people who care about what they're putting on your plate. That's not a slogan for us, it's a promise. Whether you're stopping in for a fresh-baked pastry with your morning coffee or sitting down for lunch by the Beaufort River, we hope you can taste the difference that real, honest food makes. Our kitchen runs on local sourcing and no shortcuts. From hearty breakfast plates to fresh-baked breads and pastries, every dish is made with care. Sandwiches, salads, and daily specials round out the menu. The Shrimp BLT alone has made regulars out of first-timers.
